Stromberg's photographic portrait, titled "Fierce Grace," uses shape and tone to exquisitely capture the enthralling paradox of the wild yet social, fierce yet graceful horse. Stromberg believes that horses bring us back to something wild and unrestrained, reminding us of a sense of freedom that many of us have forgotten. With this and his other works Stromberg's photographic poetry succeeds in bridging what he calls "modern life's disturbing separation between people and nature." Stromberg was drawn away from two decades of commercial photography to portray the spirituality within horses. “Fierce Grace” is photographic poetry that deeply reconnects us to nature.
